Current header – SunSetHorses. Taken by Bill Coe of Max Nebraska, November 17, 2008. Bill and his wife came for supper and of course he always brings his camera. He got this composition of my horses against the clouds of the southeastern sky reflecting the sunset.

The photo in my header is from October 2003, a few years into the drought that has gripped the area since before we arrived in 2002. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, the drought has broken. However, there is still no guarantee of steady moisture. We still have a month or two in late summer where this is a typical view.
I live in rural Nebraska on 160 acres and telecommute to a high-tech job across the state. I raise Tigerhorses, fiddle around on the computer, and stay pretty busy. I used to live in big cities like Los Angeles and Baltimore – this sure is different!
I’m standing with Foxy, a very special mare. She is registered as an Appaloosa – she is from the old-fashioned stock that still had the shuffle and spots. Her kids all have lots of spots, from blankets to full leopards! She is also registered as a Tigerhorse, as a founding mare for the breed. She is a pleasant horse, ridable, and willing to please. I have too many horses now to spend much time with any single one, so she (and some others) are for sale. Please visit my farm site at TigerhorseFarms.com for more information.
